About Sue Littlewing

My path in alternative types of healing began for my own personal use. (Healer heal thy self.) This soon expanded to family and friends as they saw the changes in my life. Over time it became clear to me that this was in fact to be my career… my life’s work. I believe healing comes to us on many levels through many different approaches. Each client I work with has individual needs and will respond better to varying styles or techniques. I also believe each person has an innate ability and desire within to heal and I am merely a vessel or tool with which they can work.

I began my work in these therapies in 1997 by studying aromatherapy with the Institute of Dynamic Aromatherapy in Blemont, MA. I also worked as a sales consultant for Earth Tribe International based in CA, for approximately 3 years. They have since changed their direction in business, however, they were believers in educating the public, not just selling their products.

During this time, I also began my studies in Reiki (1997) and continued to receive my Reiki Master / Teacher attunement in March of 2002. My Reiki Master / Teacher is Ida Diaz located in NJ. I was taught and teach the traditional method of Reiki founded by Dr. Usui in the late 1800's, as well as Light Therapy founded by Belinda Hymas in NC. I have also studied with and compared styles with other Reiki Masters and found that we are all using the same beautiful energy based on the power of intent. Despite my own insecurities, I found myself teaching my very first Reiki class by July of 2002. I’ve since continued to teach Reiki and work with the most wonderful people attracted to this most beautiful and gentle healing energy.

By 2002, I decided that in order to balance my education and help the most people, I needed more. I began official studies in therapeutic massage and bodywork with the Institute of Therapeutic Massage in NJ, and graduated in January 2003 with honors. This was a wonderful experience which brought my works more mainstream and allowed me to offer more complete care to my clients. In March 2003 I achieved my NCTMB with the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork and remain a member of ABMP (Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals). I maintain a small private practice specializing in women’s health and chronic conditions.

Thank you... for taking the time to read this in such a busy world. Please contact me with any questions. I have a number of colleagues who work in different areas of the country and who work with different modalities than myself.

Lastly, may light and healing be with you always...
